I'm baaaack!!
Just like the Terminator, I keep coming back. I just think it is so elegant over here and so quiet and peaceful, and the French countryside is so lovely and soul-inspiring (well, not talking about those riots that were in the paper a little while back...)
Over here, I have to behave myself and not mention anything vulgar or upsetting. I can pretend that my gaff is light and airy with a housekeeper to do those things I seem unable or too incompetent to do (i.e. clean and manage to get food in the house). I also don't have to climb a staircase to get to the 2nd story of my gaff like some people I know because we all know what would happen if I did (extreme personal injury and most likely sudden, or perhaps prolonged death). My personal secretary, whom I shall imagine looks like the alluring and provocative Sami Frey in his youth, makes sure that I am at all times well-organised and, shall we say, taken care of. (Sorry to end with a preposition.)
Boy, the more I blog about this, the better I can imagine it. Boy, can I imagine it! I might just pack up all my shite, er...belongings, and come over here to live permanently.
Just look at this layout? Is this not elegant and sophisticated? I mean, I was messing about with a scheme over at
Livejourbal, and it was so bright, it ended up looking like a cross between an Easter egg and the Irish Tricolour! I could NOT make the colours do what I wanted them to do. Here, all is colour-coordinated--well, with the exception of that lavendar Blogspirit bar on the top of my blog. It matches cj's blog, but it sorta clashes with mine. But that's probably because I don't pay any rent here. I'm sure all the freeloaders get the clashing blog bars.
Good heavens. I was just blogging along and a little window popped up and said my session would soon expire! It urged me to save my post. Do you think Blogspirit is trying to give me a nudge about being long-winded, perhaps boring? Right! That's all I need is my blogs rejecting me as well as everyone else. I guess I should hurry up here and close shop. I wanted to find a picture of the lovely and provocative Sami though before I go - just so this won't be a total waste of your time:
Baby, you can drive my car...

Well, I don't have a working car, but if I did, he could certainly drive it. He can drive anything of mine he wants as far as I'm concerned! ;-)

Fiona, you are wicked. Jolly good show! I'll forgive the preposition on the basis of the nice picture of the man. Never heard of him by the way, but then I tend to live under a rock these days. The company is, by and large, better.
I fear that most people reading this entry will be left scratching their heads at the strange French and staircase allusions, but they gave me a giggle.
Sorry to have missed you virtually yesterday, but I was haunting other areas, namely the garden and my inbox, equally. The first because it was chuffing hot and there was a bit of breeze under the trees, and the latter because the current owner of our French dream had threatened to send us some pictures of it. Be still my heart! But clearly he means to torture us because they are still to arrive.
C'est la guerre!

C'est la guerre?? Are u callin me a guerilla? I already have a couple of feckers pissed off at me on Blogsome and who are probably gonna have a chat with the webmaster soon. I just love the WP system though where I have complete control over the comments posting. I check off the little boxes and delete them all at once before they ever get to the blog. They get all pushed out of shape and start spewing, and nobody ever sees it. Poor things. It must be very frustrating for them.
Sami Frey was the Palestinian 'terrorist' that Diane Keaton had to bed in 'The Little Drummer Girl'. Mmm, mmm, mmm what a hard job that! He's French, you know.
